Do I still need a CPA if I have a bookkeeper?
Yes — and they work best as a team. Your bookkeeper keeps the books clean, current, and reconciled every month at a flat rate. Your CPA uses those books for tax strategy, planning, and filing. Splitting the work this way keeps routine data entry off your CPA's hourly clock, so you get better advice for less money and your books are audit-ready year-round.
How much does bookkeeping cost?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $250 and scales with transaction volume, number of bank/credit card accounts, and the reports you need. After a free 20-minute consultation, you'll get a flat-rate monthly quote — no hourly surprises.
Do I need to already use QuickBooks Online?
No. If you're not on QuickBooks Online yet, we'll set it up from scratch. If you're using spreadsheets, another platform, or nothing at all, we handle the migration and get your books running cleanly in QuickBooks.
My books are months (or years) behind — can you help?
Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping is one of our specialties. We reconstruct prior periods, reconcile every account to statements, and hand you accurate financials so you (and your CPA) can move forward.
Do you file my taxes?
We don't file income taxes, but we prepare tax-ready books and work directly with your CPA or tax preparer at year-end. Clean books mean a faster, cheaper tax return.
Is my financial data secure?
Absolutely. Documents are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a private, encrypted environment only accessible to Marjorie. We use bank-level security in QuickBooks Online and never share your data.
How is this different from hiring an in-house bookkeeper?
You get a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire — no payroll taxes, benefits, or training. And you're not dependent on one person being at their desk.
What do you need from me each month?
Very little. We pull most transactions directly from your connected bank and credit card feeds. Occasionally we'll ask a quick categorization question or request a receipt — usually a two-minute reply.
